Digital Accessibility Benefits

Increased Traffic

When accessibility is incorporated at all phases, it leads to a better user experience for everyone. This reduces the chance for someone leaving due to barriers, challenges, and blockers.

Improved SEO

As the SEO landscape continues to transform, it continues to overlap with accessibility best practices. This is primarily due to the level of clarity, detail, and intention that search engines need to understand the content within a website or application.

Clear Analytics

When you know your website or app is accessible, you can eliminate the possible reasons people are bouncing and exiting without completing the desired goal. Analytics tools do not show us when someone with a disability is visiting a or website app.

Broader Audience

It is estimated that 25% of people live with a disability, whether it be permanent, temporary, or situation. Ensuring accessibility means that more people can use, access, and engage, no matter their abilities.

Decreased Risk

Whether you are implementing change over time or tackling it all at once, accessibility initiatives decrease the likelihood of claims and lawsuits. As long as you are doing something and have a timeline, you shouldn’t have much to worry about.

Why Digital Accessibility?

Setting all the legal risks and factors aside, ensuring your website or app are accessible is more than just a good idea. If we think about our business, two major components are perception and our bottom line. If people can’t use it because it is not accessible, what will they do? That’s right, tell someone. And we all know how effective word-of-mouth can be. Secondly, if we are not providing the same experience to everyone, those with poor or bad experiences will never purchase. This leads to that revenue going to a competitor who is more accessible, ultimately affecting your bottom line.
